Kent dur Russell, Executive Director of the Museum of Russian Icons, Clinton, MA, announced that Dr. Lana Sloutsky was appointed Curator of Collections and Exhibitions. In her role, Sloutsky will work to deepen the understanding of the museum’s permanent collection and be responsible for developing exhibitions and related programs; developing a collection plan, initiating collection research and acquisition, and connecting MoRI to other scholars and institutions worldwide, while continuing to reach out to the local town and region. She will start on September 14, 2020.

Aaron Pan appointed Director

We are also pleased to announce that the Museum of Texas Tech University has appointed Aaron David Pan, PhD, as its new Executive Director. Texas Tech University Provost Michael Galyean announced that Dr. Pan was chosen after a nationwide search and that he will assume his duties on May 18, 2020. He also will have a faculty appointment as associate professor. The search was guided by Senior Search Consultant Connie Rosemont of Museum Search & Reference.

Amanda Lahikainen, PhD appointed Director

We are pleased to announce that Amanda Lahikainen, PhD, has been appointed as Executive Director of the Ogunquit Museum of American Art in Ogunquit, Maine, effective May 1, 2020. Senior Search Consultant Scott Stevens of Museum Search & Reference guided the national search.

Anke Van Wagenberg-Ter Hoeven, Ph.D. appointed Senior Curator

Joe Baker appointed Executive Director

We are pleased to announce that the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe has appointed Joe Baker as the new Executive Director of the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center in Connecticut. Baker began his new role on October 1, 2020.

Marta Mabel Perez appointed Executive Director

We are pleased to announce that the Museo de Arte (Museum of Art) de Puerto Rico has appointed Marta Mabel Perez as their new Executive Director. 

Ann Fortescue appointed President and Executive Director

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ann Fortescue who will be the new President and Executive Director of the International Museum of Art & Science (IMAS). Fortescue will assume the duties of President and Executive Director in mid-July 2019. Dan Keegan, Senior Search Consultant at Museum Search & Reference ran the nationwide search for IMAS.
