Andy Schlauch named Executive Director
Schlauch is well versed in contemporary glass art, modern and contemporary art, museum programming, and museum construction. In 2016, he moved the Chihuly Collection from its original site at the Morean Art Center and reinstalled exhibits in a larger, better-located space. Previously he worked for the Chihuly Studio in Seattle and directed the Artists Archive of the Western Reserve. The new CAT museum will showcase a comprehensive collection of studio art glass sculpture as well as other works by well-known contemporary artists. Andy will help lead the process to the opening of the new space in Shoreview, Minnesota. He will curate rotating exhibits from an extensive collection, host scheduled tours, and ensure that the museum becomes an educational resource for the region.
