Joshua Torrance appointed Executive Director
Torrance brings over 22 years of museum directing to his new post, at the Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum, the Bennington Museum in Vermont, and the Woodlawn Museum, Gardens & Park in Ellsworth, ME. In each of these positions he was focused on building community partnerships, setting and achieving ambitious goals with staff and Board, and raising funds to build upon the health of the organization. He has a deep passion for the work of museums, creating ties to stories and images past and present through the arts and our shared histories. Torrance has both an MA in History and Museum Studies from the prestigious Cooperstown Graduate Program at the State University of New York, and an MA in Public History at Indiana University of PA.
