Meister will assume the duties of Executive Director and President at TMORA on July 1, 2019. Austen Barron Bailly, Ph.D. appointed Chief Curator

We are pleased to announce that Austen Barron Bailly, Ph.D. will be the new Chief Curator of the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art following her tenure at the Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) in Salem, Mass., where she served as the George Putnam Curator of American Art. Dan Keegan of Museum Search & Reference ran the nationwide search for Crystal Bridges. Austen will assume the duties of chief curator on July 15, 2019.

Matt Collinsworth appointed Director

We are pleased to announce that Matt Collinsworth will be the new Director of the National Music Museum (NMM) at the University of South Dakota (USD), Vermillion. NMM is one of the world's premier collections of musical instruments. Chosen after a nationwide search, Mr. Collinsworth assumed the duties of director on March 11, 2019.

Serena Pandos appointed Executive Director and President

We are pleased to announce that Serena Pandos will be the new Executive Director and President of the Louisiana Art & Science Museum, Baton Rouge, LA. 

The Museum's Board of Directors unanimously appointed Serena Pandos to be the museum's next President and Executive Director, replacing Carol Gikas who will retire at the end of January after leading LASM for 39 years. Scott Kirkpatrick, President of the Board, said, "We are delighted to announce Serena's appointment and are all thrilled with her energy and enthusiasm for our mission, staff and community. Carol is leaving behind a tremendous legacy. The museum has flourished under her leadership and we are excited for Serena to carry on this excellent work."

V. Susan Fisher appointed Executive Director

Carole Ann Fabian appointed Director of Collections

We are pleased to announce that Carole Ann Fabian has been appointed Director of Collections for the Corning Museum of Glass, Corning, NY. 

Fabian comes to this position after more than 9 years at Columbia University in New York City, where she served as the Director for the Avery Architectural & Fine Arts Library. At the Avery Library, she oversaw acquisitions, grants and advancement initiatives for both operations and endowments, renovated the Library's 1974 addition, and initiated the Digital Avery program. Prior to that she worked at ARTstor Digital Library as a Planning, Outreach and Communications Officer, and before that as Associate Librarian at the University of Buffalo, SUNY. Early in her career she was an intern at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery and an Associate Provenance Archivist and Curatorial Assistant in Paintings at the Getty Museum.
