Anke Van Wagenberg-Ter Hoeven, Ph.D. appointed Senior Curator

We are pleased to announce that the Vero Beach Museum of Art has appointed Anke Van Wagenberg as their new Senior Curator. Van Wagenberg will begin her new role on January 24.

Kaytie Johnson appointed Senior Curator

We are pleased to announce that the John Michael Kohler Arts Center has appointed Kaytie Johnson as their new Senior Curator. Johnson will begin her new role in February.

Joe Baker appointed Executive Director

We are pleased to announce that the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe has appointed Joe Baker as the new Executive Director of the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center in Connecticut. Baker began his new role on October 1, 2020.

Marta Mabel Perez appointed Executive Director

We are pleased to announce that the Museo de Arte (Museum of Art) de Puerto Rico has appointed Marta Mabel Perez as their new Executive Director. 

Ann Fortescue appointed President and Executive Director

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ann Fortescue who will be the new President and Executive Director of the International Museum of Art & Science (IMAS). Fortescue will assume the duties of President and Executive Director in mid-July 2019. Dan Keegan, Senior Search Consultant at Museum Search & Reference ran the nationwide search for IMAS.  

Tracee Robertson appointed Director

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Tracee Robertson as the new director of the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at Midwestern State University (WFMA, MSU). Chosen after a nationwide search, Robertson will assume the duties of Director on July 1, 2019. Connie Rosemont, Senior Search Consultant at Museum Search & Reference ran the nationwide search for WFMA, MSU.  

Dan Lipcan appointed Head Librarian, Phillips Library

We are pleased to announce that Dan Lipcan will be the new Head Librarian of the Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) following his tenure at Thomas J. Watson Library of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, where he served as a Associate Museum Librarian. Lipcan will assume the duties of Head Librarian in May, 2019. Scott Stevens, Senior Search Consultant at Museum Search & Reference ran the nationwide search for PEM.  

Luke Pecoraro appointed Director of Curatorial Services

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Luke Pecoraro who will be the new Director of Curatorial Services at the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation (JYF). Pecoraro, a historical archaeologist and former director of archaeology at George Washington's Mount Vernon, assumed the duties of Director of Curatorial Services at JYF on May 10, 2019. Museum Search & Reference ran the nationwide search with the assistance of Gail Nessell-Colglazier.
